SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED

Effective Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at 6:00 PM. College Township has declared a snow emergency effective Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 6:00 PM. During a Snow Emergency, all vehicles must be removed from all streets. Parking on streets is NOT PERMITTED until after the snow or ice storm has ended and the streets have been clered of all snow and ice to the edge of the pavement or to the curbs.

Management Partners, Inc., on behalf of the Centre Region Council of Governments' municipalities, will be hosting a public meeting on Thursday, February 18, 2010, starting at 6:30 PM at the Centre Region COG Office located at 2643 Gateway Drive in State College, PA. Management Partners, Inc. is conducting a management study of the Centre Regional Code Administration in order to determine how the Code Office can provide the best quality of service to the residents and businesses and at a reasonable cost. The Borough of State College and the Townships of College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris and Patton provide building code services to their businesses and residents through the Centre Region Code Administration. The main duties of the Code Administration are: reviewing plans; issuing permits for construction of remodeling of buildings; inspecting new construction projects; inspecting existing commercial property; inspecting rental property; conducting fire inspections; and, conducting septic tank inspections. You are encouraged to participate and voice your opinions on Code Administration services. No Code Administration staff will be present and comments will be kept confidential. If you cannot attend, please consider offering your comments to the management team specialists by emailing: kmurray@managementpartners.com.

Christmas Tree Collections

Beginning after Dec. 25th and through early Feb., College Township Road Crews will be making random rounds through the Township picking up Christmas trees, weather permitting. After Veolia Environmental's collection January 11 through 15, discarded trees can be included in normal trash pick-up.
